I sat watching Trump address Congress, according to him from his heart, and my commentary went something like this.

“What is this muppet show!? Why are they even cheering Melania? What has she ever done? Oh my god look at his smug face. And those two smug idiots behind him, Ryan and Pence, “we’ve got the power now nah nah nah nah nah.” Trevor why are you watching this?! How can you watch this!? Oh my god now they are cheering at the Dakota Pipeline, ripping up the beauty of our planet with an oil field. What ignorance, yes let’s all cheer along making money from heartless destruction. Oh now they are cheering at professing to dispel violence and poverty. Easy to do sitting on billions, whilst radiating hatred, creating it, transmitting violent communication completely unaware of their impact. Do they have any intelligence at all? Low life, vile, self righteous and so stupid ugh…..” And so it went on.

Until I caught myself. And took a breath.

Sunset

I’d allowed myself to get swept up into the divisiveness, the conflict, the separation, the hatred spewing out in America’s dark night of the soul.

Until I stopped myself.

I’m so lucky to work with Simon Haas, author, The Book of Dharma, Making Enlightened Choices. In teaching yoga philosophy he talks about the dark night of a soul being a calling to sacred love.

And so let this be our calling.

Every time we see Trump and his cronies spewing hateful, violent communication, let this be our calling to love; a reminder to connect even more deeply to our hearts, to compassion, to kindness.  Let it be our reminder to choose to listen to and be guided by our hearts to fulfil our true nature and purpose, to perpetuate calm peacefulness, substance, generosity and love.

And let us make this our business.

The day after Prince died I was deeply moved listening to Van Jones speaking about Prince. He shared that Prince’s message was “Turn your creative spirit into an economic force for good”, his call to action to young African Americans.

Let it be a call to action for all of us.

I’m running a pilot of True Business Online Course, to lead with your creative spirit and heart in business. To develop your business around your true nature and purpose and enjoy deep fulfilment, make a positive difference and a financial profit.

Whether you are starting out, a flourishing solo entrepreneur, small business owner, or working in a corporate with a desire to do what you came here for, True Business is a 5-week online course designed for you to explore the business your heart and creative spirit is called to create and grow now.

Normally £195, the pilot is £95 for a lifetime membership so you can create your business approach year on year. It’s for a minimum of 10 people, maximum of 20 so there is plenty of time and space for connection and guidance; and all in a global community of likeminded, encouraging, supportive people building their businesses with heart, compassion and intuition. All I ask is that you give plenty of feedback!

It starts on Monday 27 March 2017 and if you’d love to join us you can register here.
