jim poyner documentary photography, www.jimpoyner.co.uk, Jules Wyman, York,

Yesterday I sat down with Jules Wyman, Confidence Coach and Speaker to explore her purpose and message. Jules is a participant in the PR with Heart Online Course and growing global community.

Here Jules dispels the myths around confidence and the damage they cause, shares what confidence actually is, and what to do if you have a ‘wobble’.  Check her out and leave your comments on the youtube interview and share the video if you’d like to.

During this 15 minutes together it finally landed for me what confidence actually is. And so inspired by Jules, I’ve decided to turn this into a ‘Women with a Message’ Youtube series and interview women from the PR with Heart Online Course about their purpose and message. So now I know this is a video series I’ll even look into the camera next time!

Enjoy your confidence.

If you’d love to join us for the next PR with Heart Online Course and grow your visibility, audience and impact naturally with grace and ease you can sign up here.

And you can reach Jules Wyman here.

One month on it was a real joy to catch up with each woman attending March 2016’s PR with Heart Antigua to find out how they were doing now and the impact on their business. Here’s what they had to share…

Retreat

Nikola King, Founder, Infinite Essence

“I arrived in Antigua with a temporary project and came back with a business.

I went to Antigua with a deep rooted belief that I was not a business woman. I came home with a business and owning that I was the Global Ambassador for it. This is a huge life and energy shift. It facilitated what I’ve been waiting a very long time for. I have clarity about my business and who I am within that. My whole life feels very grounded. I know exactly who I am and what I’m here to do.

One month on I have a crystal clear vision and assuredness I’ve seldom felt. I sense strongly that I can’t be moved from my centre even with all the external energies and influences in the world.

I’ve been very ethereal in the past. Antigua gave me the desire and knowing that I needed to ground my work. I want to be here and do this work. It gave me the vision of the impact of my work and other women around me who are here to make seismic differences from our creative hearts and I want to be a part of that.”

Thea Allison, Founder, Big Bang Creations

“One month on I am incredibly grateful. Both to you Kat, for having created the structure (PR with Heart Antigua) and to myself for getting myself there. The impact of it, the energy of the sun, sea and Antiguan vibes, is now a part of me.

The PR plan I created has landed and is the focus for my business. Knowing my market has brought a focus that excites me, and that absolute clarity of knowing where to put my energy is showing in results.

I highly recommend it to others, without a doubt. It’s very good value for money, a wonderful experience and if we are going to be women out in the world we have to give ourselves what we love. Otherwise we will be women putting ourselves out in the world in burn out.”

Jenna Yhearm

Jenna Yhearm, Founder, Gumption

“It was a perfect week of bliss and being focused.

One month on I feel calm and focused. Being at one with myself that week, with positive people, allowed me to remind myself who I am and why I am doing my business. This has stayed with me.

My purpose and message are integrated into every decision I now make in the business. I first stop and consider why I am making the decision and who will it affect. I’m much more conscious, it’s always there.

I’m hugely positive and confident about my future. I know exactly where I’m going in my business, so there is no day-to-day panic. I’m clear on my path and I’ll gently take the steps, I know what the end goal is.“

Tuning In

PR with Heart Programme…

“I loved the structure and your facilitation was great. You held the end result passionately and it was gentle, forgiving, open and you honoured the true agenda of each of us. We had the freedom to get there in our own way and own time and that gave it integrity and the end results real power. It was fun. You gave me blindingly valuable insights into growing my business.”

“The course quite simply and profoundly takes you on the journey you need to go on. I loved the way it all came together. You held the space beautifully. The simplicity and beauty of the work is that it takes you to the deep places you need to go in a safe and supportive way.”

“I had no idea what to expect I just knew I had to be in Antigua. Half way through I was genuinely surprised that the work we had done throughout the week was pulled together into such a clear, and such a simple plan. I hadn’t expected it to be so succinct. It was perfectly clear, perfectly outlined, no doubts. That was genius.”

Villa Amazing Relax

Villa Amazing…

“I loved the villa – it held us in a safe space when arriving in a country you don’t know. To be up on the hill was wonderful. It gave us the platform to be together and to also have our own space. Perfect.”

“The villa was wonderful, perfect for what we were doing, a lovely space to be together, intimate, comfortable with space to be on your own as well when you wanted to.”

Sunset

Antigua…

“I’ve completely fallen in love with Antigua. The people are so calm and chilled it allows the rest of us to be calm and relaxed. I want to go back.”

“Antigua is a place I’ll return to for insights, clarity and support in my business.”

“Antiguan people are so warm, down to earth and so unattached they are very freeing and relaxing to be with.”

“The energy of Antigua is incredibly supportive without it challenging you. It aligns you and brings you in tune with nature. The energies are beautiful facilitating a clarity, truth and strength to proceed. I believe that Kat, you’ve tapped into the energies of the island and are bringing their natural beauty into our lives and business.”

If you would love to join us for PR with Heart Antigua 3-10 December 2016 email me – kat@katbyles.com – to reserve your place or book in an Antigua Exploration Session.

See you in the turquoise. x

Purpose

As I come away from the first PR with Heart Antigua Retreat with four brilliant women, the transformation is still full flight.  And I want a Polaroid to capture the highlights; only the whole week was a highlight! The creative inspiration and connection to pure source; how everything flowed so effortlessly; the dedication and commitment of each woman to their true nature and purpose – what a joy; the clarity each woman received; the life-changing insights; the beauty, the nature, the innocence; the wonderful walks in nature, long swims in that magical sea, warm-hearted local people; the power each woman discovered within them; the stunning villa and how that came to me; the excitement the women had going home because they love who they are and what they are doing in their business. It goes on….

Creative inspiration and connection to source

During an early trip to Antigua I saw a vision that stopped me in my tracks – four blue phoenixes rising from the Caribbean Sea. This spoke to me of four women called to the Island to rise into their creative hearts, their true nature, purpose and power. PR with Heart Antigua was born. From here I made the choice to create it purely from source, taking action guided by my intuitive heart, letting go of the outcome.  At one point the fourth woman was creating the money to attend. In the past I’d have frantically rushed about to get someone else just in case it didn’t come through. This time my heart clearly spoke ‘relax, it is taken care of’. The energy I used to waste and stress I caused myself because I didn’t trust my intuition. I learnt that when you receive, when you create from your higher nature in harmony with life, it is divine, it is effortless, it is who you are.

Swimming

The impact before we even arrived

The impact on the women once they made the commitment to attend, before we even arrived, blew me away – their power ignited, one restructured her business; one healed and deepened the relationship with her father. I more than loved standing for their hearts, their higher nature with love, truth and compassion, no compromise. A privilege.

Life changing insights kept on coming

A few favourites came during the financial structure explorations. One woman’s relationship with money in her lower nature is ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ – masculine, driven, loads of money and most noticeably no children. In her heart, her business is providing for her large family. How many women miss out on the truth of their heart when they adopt this masculine approach to business?

Another woman, in her lower nature is working with clients that don’t belong to her with a pattern of them leaving. Because they are not her clients! In her higher nature she is working with corporate directors introducing a new creative technology into large corporate teams who go on to transform their lives and the business. With this energetic embodiment she received her first corporate client 5 hours after touching down on the runway in the UK. These are her true clients that she is here to serve. Effortless.

Sheer Rocks

Coconuts

Resistance

Throughout the week one woman had an inner battle as she questioned, undermined and denied her true nature, purpose and power. The control set in as the ego rejected her truth and fought to keep her small, tightly contained, in hiding while her higher nature offers deep connection and expansion.  The pain was evident, the realisation powerful and tearful.  How often do you battle with or try to control a natural expansion? How often do you reject your intuition or heart’s desire believing you know how it will turn out and you’re not having that?!  In doing so you shut down your whole life.  Embrace your true nature, let go of expected outcomes, take the action as an offering of love, and this is life changing.

Clarity

Each of the four women went home with crystal clear clarity.  Clarity is my true essence and what I love to bring into business.  With clarity you can lean back, relax into what you are here to do on this earth. You have swift decision making saying an easy no when it is not in alignment. And you can enjoy mastery of your creative focus and the vitality, energy, fun and joy that comes with that. You can embrace and live your whole life.

The Magic of Villa Amazing

I’d been looking for a villa with four bedrooms with no luck. Until on a September visit my return flight was cancelled and I had to leave Antigua a day later. Standing in the check in queue I got chatting to a lovely couple scheduled to fly that day. They just happened to have a four bedroom villa and were considering renting for the first time. It was perfect – 180 degree sea views, infinity pool, beautiful bedrooms, and wonderful spaces for us to work in. When the world rearranges itself around you, when magic happens, you know you are on the right track.

Local Warm-Hearted People and Adventures

Walks with Vorn foraging for tangerines, coconut, and tamarind with stories about his grandma, knowledge of the plants and a tropical rainstorm. Taking to the sea to explore the beauty of the outer islands on our day off with Adventure Antigua, the lovely Trevor Erskine and a wind that turned the boat into flying log flume. Stewed Fish with Cavell ‘I put love in my cooking’ and pedicures with Tamara in Crab Hill, we were welcomed in as part of the local community.

Support from the Men

For me the new paradigm for women on earth is found where the feminine is seen, respected, held, loved and supported by the masculine. We all received this support from men in our lives to be in Antigua – be it financial, emotional or spiritual – it was deeply nourishing and appreciated.

Friendships Formed

I’m quite sure I’ll be life long friends with the four women attending keenly following their business growth with love and interest. Then there was Trevor Erskine who believed in me, and the retreat, encouraging me to create it; Kirsty MacAndrew who tuned in with me weekly to listen to intuitive guidance for inspired actions to take; Marianne Hartley, a business soul partner with regular check in’s; Victoria Player, a business consultant for women entrepreneurs who specialises in freedom based businesses who helped me feel my way practically into the new structure of my business to be based in the UK and Antigua; and Wendy Price who regularly pointed out when my ego was having a go and to return to my heart and what I’d love to create. It can take a team to create your dream. Thank you.

The next PR with Heart Antigua is 3-10 December. If your heart is called to rise in business message me kat@katbyles.com to reserve your place or book in an exploration session. I very much look forward to working with you in the divine pure source inspiration that is Antigua.

Sea Turtle Rescue

During my recent trip to Antigua a friend saved the lives of 2 baby sea turtles. And I was reminded to be present to mine.

It was my last day and my head was busy with whether I’d made the most of the trip? Had I created my vision? Was it worth the time and money? What did I need to do today to make sure I get the most of it? Let’s make a plan!

My friend patiently reminded me (again) that this is not how it works in Antigua. Here, you go with what occurs, you relax and see what the day brings. “Oh yes,” I said. This is what I love so much about it. But my thoughts marched on. So when we swerved off the road and screeched to a halt I had no idea why. “What’s going on?”

“There are sea turtles over the road.” He shouted, clearly upset. And with that questioning tone – ‘you blind or what?!’

Well, yes. I was. I had completely missed a troupe of baby sea turtles crawling over the road, as had the cars before us. Ten or so babies had already been squashed into the tarmac.

When Sea Turtles hatch at night they move towards the brightest light. In wild nature this is the beautiful shimmer of light on the Ocean. Now streetlights lining roads are the brightest light so many head towards these instead, and to their death.

My friend found one alive in the middle of the road, picked it up and took him to the sea. I called him Miracle. On the way back to the car he found another in the grasses that had not yet reached the road and we took him to the sea too. I called him Lucky. “Have a good life little fella,” he said and launched him into the turquoise glassy sea. Off he went his head bopping up and down.

Sea Turtle Escape

There I was so busy with thoughts running around my head about making the most of the day that I was oblivious to the day right in front of me.  I know I’m not alone in this. How often do you completely miss the day, the magic and opportunities right under your nose because you are busy planning in your head, worrying, working it out? And worse, how often do we cause harm?

So with the sea turtles came the reminder (again).

Drop the thoughts.

Be present.

Be free.

Live.

I’ve met the most wonderful people in grass roots cricket in Antigua.

It started by watching Fire In Babylon, the documentary about the West Indies cricket team that dominated during the 70’s and 80’s. This is sport with a higher purpose that fires up your heart. You must watch it.

During apartheid in South Africa, the West Indies cricket team, led by Viv Richards, had a message for the world – that the black man is a free man – and they channelled all that fierceness and fire into their sport and became the best in the world.

There is magic in that fire. Three weeks later I was sat with Sir Andy Roberts, the legendary fast bowler from that very team at my local bar. Andy is from Urlings village and was the first Antiguan to play Test cricket.

I’d been to watch Urlings Cricket Club and it was fantastic! The pitch scorched from the blazing sun. Caribbean music blasts over the Tannoy for every four, six or wicket. The younger kids are the first to arrive and last to leave practicing their bowling non stop, often no shoes, no pads – raw talent. There’s a wealth of national and international experience in the senior players. I’ve been so lucky to be part of a lot of grass roots football around the world and Urlings CC has the magic.

What is missing are the facilities to bring it all together. “A club house will provide much needed facilities, pride and focus to bring this talent through to the club and national level in Antigua and Barbuda.” said Andy Roberts.

The kids inspired me. They are special. I think they’ve already bowled 10,000 hours at 8 years old! To support that talent and dedication I’ve set up a fundraising campaign. Take a look: http://www.gofundme.com/UrlingsCC. It would be great if you can contribute.

One big thank you! And please do visit when it is built and cricket season in Antigua & Barbuda is open.

A little over a year ago I decided to create my new business by listening to and following my heart. Tuning in the first thing I heard was ‘imagination’ and ‘play’. I remember thinking: Is that it!? That’s all you are giving me to go on?! It was the beginning.

Flipping through my notebook this week the page opened to some writing exploring the vision of ‘my signature programme‘ with a friend, Wendy in April 2014. Here’s what it said:

Wendy: This is a structure for women to put themselves out there, detached from ‘how’. It’s their maiden voyage to launch their ideas. Vulnerability is the portal to their creativity and strength. Grace, working with the energies of nature, silence, to connect with gentleness, innocence, presence, taking their first steps.

Kat: I’m standing at Shirley Heights (in Antigua) sending the message of my heart out into the world. Women are sending the message of their hearts into the world.  In the higher creative structure, in partnership with the energies of life, each person is getting clear on what their heart would love to see visible in the world. It is expansive and creates freedom.

Notebook Vision

Tuning into the vision of my signature programme in April 2014…

I was a little shocked when I read it. In November 2014 I ran the first PR with Heart Online Course for women (and men) with a message to share with the world.  20 bright people from Costa Rica, USA, Canada, UK, France, Holland, Antigua gathered to take their first steps in creating visibility, momentum and fulfilment with their business.

I especially loved women connecting to the message their heart wants to share and stand for in the world – the energy and transformation that created was just brilliant. No blueprints, no formulas, no right ways to do it because it worked for someone else or because that person says it’s so and they are an expert.  Instead listening to their own inner wisdom and with it unfolding clarity, confidence and eagerness to go for it.

And I ran it from Antigua!!  Twice I pre-recorded the class in the morning and headed off to swim in the sparkling turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea whilst the class was running online.  Antigua has been so good to me, reviving my heart and creativity after burnout and giving it all to the Homeless World Cup. I’m so grateful to this magical island and it’s people and am thoroughly enjoying it becoming integral to the creative heart of my business.

Antigua Desk

Here I am at my favourite desk ever in Antigua…

Antigua Office

And this is my office. The foyer turns dark at night and fills up with stars visible through the palm trees…

So here I am 8 months later witnessing creating with heart in business in action. And I’m 100 per cent celebrating my decision to listen and follow my heart. Even when it didn’t make any sense at all and I felt crazy and a fool. It is a joy ‘doing business’ in this way. It’s naturally expansive, graceful, compassionate and creates tangible, practical end results beyond what you believe possible.  It brings deep fulfilment and transformation with real substance as you live and breath who you are and what you are here to do in the world.

Still listening. It’s getting interesting!

If you’d love to build a business by following your heart join me for Creative Heart Business Coaching. We will uncover the vision of your business your heart is called to create now and introduce a powerful structure you will use to begin to create it from your true nature, your heart, your greatness over three to six months.  You will enjoy a business aligned with your purpose, that supports you to thrive and has you happy and healthy creating a legacy and positive impact, with your own bit of magic thrown in.

And the next PR with Heart Online Course for people with a message and a mission begins 2 March 2014. Register here.

Until then…

“Follow your heart and intuition as it somehow already knows what you want to become.” Steve Jobs.

Antiguapassword

Have you played the creative password game?

You set your password to whatever it is you want to create now.
It works on the premise that your focus creates reality.  That whatever you give your energy and attention to grows.
So by typing what you want numerous times a day you are continually reinforcing your focus and attention on what you want.
In doing so you bring it to life.

I’ve heard it suggested but haven’t tried it.
Until I realised that my password since March has been Antigua123.
How many times have I typed Antigua123 since March? Hundreds? Into the thousands?
I’ve been once, twice and have just booked to go a third time to Antigua.
Antigua 123.

I’ve just changed my passwords to my income target for 2014/2015.
I’ll let you know how it goes.
I’d love to hear from you if you’ve played the creative password game.
Or join in now and we can give it a try together.

What's your version of success?

Success in the West is being famous, making six or seven figures, owning a couple of houses, getting married and having 2.2 kids. And it’s rammed down our throats non stop as the right and only version.

And then we wonder why so many people are miserable, empty, numb, questioning what elusive thing is missing from their lives. You, your true nature, your heart is missing.

Not always, of course. Not if you have been doing what you love, living in harmony with your true nature, creating your heart’s vision and fulfilling your purpose.

Spending time with warm-hearted people of Antigua, immersed in nature, living with the ocean I frequently hear very different versions of success. Success is being cool (meaning living peacefully), success is keeping it simple, success is appreciating life.  The conveyor belt of required achievements is noticeably absent and with it the pressure to compete, perform, prove your worth, keep up, be good enough. You can breathe, let that all go, appreciate the simple wonders of life and connect to your own true version of success.

Guillaume Nery, world champion in free diving, can hold his breath for a staggering 7 minutes and 42 seconds and dive to 117 metres in one breath.  In this short film shown recently at the Ocean Film Festival he declares a version of his success as “being in harmony with the ocean.”

I’m enjoying exploring many different versions of success, especially those beyond the Western norm, as they are freeing and inviting of our true nature.  And let’s face it we are going to have to go way beyond the out of date heartless versions of success in the Western world for our culture and people to thrive and flourish.

My own version of success is allowing my heart to show me the way. This is when I’m connected to the divine, receiving inspiration, living from my higher nature and appreciating the wonders of life. I’m at my most creative, delightful surprises and magic unfolds, it’s fun and clear, enlivening and beauty is everywhere.

What’s your version? I’d love to hear.

Ken Loach at Campfire Bath

Acclaimed British Film Director, Ken Loach, was our guest storyteller at Campfire Bath a couple of weeks ago.

Ken has a long career directing films for television and cinema from Cathy Come Home and Kes to Looking for Eric, The Wind that Shakes the Barley and most recently Jimmy’s Hall. He is also known for his integrity, for never selling out to Hollywood and speaking out on issues in Society that matter.

Whilst Global Communications Director for the Homeless World Cup I became aware that it was Cathy Come Home that led to the foundation of Shelter. That a film, entertainment, a powerful story, can also inspire and create social change is very inspiring to me.

So it was a rare treat to gather in a local pub with a hundred or so people to hear his stories that traversed film, the NHS, Palestine and football, all weaved around the theme of Collaboration.

Ken shares: “We have a choice between collaboration or competition. You either work with people or against them, to dominate them. People try to make the spirit of our time about competition – doing a deal, being Alan Sugar’s apprentice. And I think we are better than that, we thrive when we collaborate when we work together and we are a team.” Here here!

Fresh back from the Russell Tribunal in Brussels, also know as the International War Crimes Tribunal, Ken explained his head was full of the atrocities recorded in Palestine. He has a great gift for laying out the difficult truths about humanity for us all to see and hear.  The tension palpable and then just as it’s almost unbearable he flips us all to the power of football to unite a community.

My favourite story was listening to him share that one of the best bits of making a film is driving around with the location manager in the British Summer, listening to cricket on the radio. “Because you are in innocence and at that moment nothing is compromised.” I was transported right there with them, in the back of the car. Heaven.

Thank you to everyone who created a great night as you raised £440 for the Bath City FC Community Sports Foundation, bringing the benefits of football to children in Bath. Ken is Chairman.
